"So my first experience at sport clips was amazing, I can recommend jordan to help with your hair cut needs. Very knowledgeable with hair style, and sports. She's very engaged with you and is humble to know what was your day/afternoon is going. She's very caring and attentive on your hair cut. Dont be scared of what you want to get cut she's a pro, just dont talk about the 49ers.(lol, she's a raiders fan) make sure you do a online reservation so you won't wait too long, but if you choose to wait there is a lot of restaurants around to kill time, plus there's a target next door. I love the whole concept of sports because there is a lot of TV's to choose to watch sports, not just bay area sport but nationwide. Just come in and enjoy the ambiance, sports, and get a great hair cut."

"I received one of the worst haircuts of my life at this place last month. I would have just chalked it up to bad judgment on my part (I know to avoid Sports Clips in general), but after receiving some spam from this place touting the experience of their staff, I thought I should share this warning."

"Wish there was an option to give NO stars at all, since this business refused to serve me. I was a walk-in to their Alameda Landing shop at mid-afternoon on a Tuesday. The place was totally empty (eight chairs, no humans visible). I had no knock on the front counter and call out loudly numerous times before an Asian lady finally emerged from the back. She told me I had to sign in on their computer screen, and when I said I only wanted a quick easy trim, she said she'd sign me in herself, and asked for my phone number. I declined (why does a barber shop need my phone number?) She said OK, and worked at the computer a couple more minutes, then disappeared into the back again. After a few more minutes of waiting, she came back with a young white dude in tow, who said they couldn't serve me unless I gave them a phone number. I reasoned that they didn't need my phone number to cut my hair, and he said, "Don't worry, we're not going to call you, but our corporate office requires it." That made no sense, if they were insisting on having my phone contact, and I replied that they might have no plans to call me, but obviously corporate was planning to use my contact info themselves or sell it to other marketers, and I didn't want to be on their list. He shrugged and said he couldn't help me then. I wonder if refusal to serve a customer who doesn't want to give up contact privacy is even legal! In summary, there are lots of places competing with this so-called high-end establishment, and I'll take my business elsewhere. Why pay premium prices to be rudely treated only as a marketing target? If they can't offer their services in an empty shop to a walk-in customer (when their windows advertise in large letters that walk-ins are welcome), they don't deserve to stay in business. Terrible public relations."

"I had been going to the Sports Clips in Danville for years so when I moved to Oakland and heard the Alameda location is owned by the same person, I figured I should check it out. Every time I've gone my haircut has been great and I have never had to wait too long. I'm now even more excited to keep coming back because I finally have found one stylist, Tran, who is absolutely amazing and always goes above and beyond. She always remembers me and I really enjoy our conversations about life and the world! What I really appreciate about her is that she always does what I ask but isn't afraid to give recommendations or suggestions. I consider myself someone that does not have a whole lot of "style" so I appreciate that she lets her creativity and style knowledge shine through!"

"I am very particular about my haircuts and I must say I was happy to experience what I did. First off, I had a great first impression of the gal Krystina with how professional and sincere she was when she begin with me. We went over the MVP which was wonderful, real winner with a haircut, hot steam towel, scalp massage and a neck & shoulder massage! *Haircut was just as good if not better than the girl I used to go to. *Steamed towel massage was not something I have experienced before but it was great! The tea tree was a little new for me as I like fruitier smells *Scalp massage was great - she used a shampoo on me that wasn't a tea tree ( it's not my fave ) *Neck & shoulder massage - great! I just had shoulder surgery so it was nice - she was conscious of the surgery and made sure that she wasn't causing any stress to that area.... not sure what the other post was about - the massager was definitely something professional. Even though I live out of the area I would come back to see Krystina. The attention to detail & making sure I was satisfied is enough to be worth the drive."

"I've always liked sport clips and the location in Alameda is no exception. The stylists were quick and super friendly and I think I always get a consistent cut there. Thanks guys for doing a great job!"

"Most importantly, the stylists cosmeticians are professionals and good at what they do. I have had bad experiences at places like S***rcuts and G****t Clips. After 3 cuts over a number of months, I am very happy with services at Sport Clips. And, you are given an opportunity to select or decline additional comfort services. I am not a fan of scalp massages, etc. But other are. Checkout is easy too. On screen payment and tip process."

"I've been here five or six times since they opened. I'm pretty relaxed when it comes to my hair, so I'm not that picky. I've seen Andy the last three or four times and have been very happy with the results. She's done a good job and listened to what I have to say when I have concerns about what doesn't look right. She's also sure to ask if I'm happy with the results before letting me leave, and if I'm not, fixes it."
